The "PROMETE" project (Planning autonomous robots for eco-friendly construction sites) is supported by the "Projets collaboratifs I-Démo régionalisé" program. This project is co-funded by the Région Normandie, the French government (in the frame of the stimulus package France 2030), and the European Union. The goal of the project, carried out by a consortium of four industrial and academic partners led by Heracles Robotics, aims to automate construction machinery to increase efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint.
More specifically, the aim is to equip these machines with a variety of sensors and computational capabilities enabling them to analyze their environment, plan their movements and interactions with other machines onsite, and carry out their tasks quickly and accurately. The methods developed must guarantee the safety of the machines when working alongside other machines, as well as their robustness in the face of terrain variations and ageing. As a partner in the "PROMETE" project, IRSEEM's Control & Systems team is tasked with proposing robust predictive control laws to ensure the objectives are carried out as expected.
To carry out this project, IRSEEM is recruiting a Postdoctoral Researcher for a 18-months fixed-term contract.
Details about the mission and conditions are given in the attached file.
Please apply by sending a cover letter and a CV to thomas.chevet@esigelec.fr and nicolas.langlois@esigelec.fr.
