🎓 M2 Research Internship (6 months) — Possible PhD Continuation
📍 iRDL, Bretagne INP/ENIB, Plouzané (Brest), France
We are seeking a highly motivated M2 student for a research internship on:
“Stability and Safety Guarantees for Learning-Based Control of Hybrid Dynamical Systems”
The internship will be supervised by Moussa Labbadi and will explore research problems at the intersection of control theory, hybrid dynamical systems, and machine learning.
The project will focus on developing rigorous stability and safety guarantees for neural-network-based controllers, using Lyapunov functions, homogeneous approximations, and control barrier functions.
We are looking for a candidate with:
A solid background in control theory, mathematics, and machine learning;
Strong academic results at the Master 2 level;
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Experience with hybrid dynamical systems and programming in Python or MATLAB would be appreciated.
🔬 The six-month internship may lead to a PhD thesis, subject to funding and admission requirements.
