Dear Colleagues,

We hope that this mail finds you well. We are contacting you regarding the IFAC Mechatronics and Robotics that will take place in Paris next July (15th to 18th).

We organize an invited session entitled “Design and control coupling in deformable mechatronic and robotic systems for physical interactions with humans”. 
The goals of this session are three-fold:
1) to allow researchers/students in deformable robotics and mechatronics to get in touch with the IFAC community,
2) to highlight and discuss the intricate coupling between design and control (simple designs can lead to complex control laws, and vice versa)
3) to question the role of deformation when interacting with humans (are deformable devices always safe ? For what applications? How do they simplify the control of physical interactions with humans?).

If you are interested in contributing to it, the deadline for submission is on the 15th of December. To be linked with the invited session, you will need to enter the following code 56s5g.
