His presentations showcased recent European research on applying AI to resilient manufacturing and assembly systems: the ASSISTANT project demonstrated how AI combined with optimization, control, and interconnected digital twins enables real-time, cost-effective, and safe decision support for production planning and line control, validated in industrial case studies with Siemens, Atlas Copco, and Stellantis, while complementary research in the ACCURATE project uses supervised learning (XGBoost) to predict human and cobot availability and embed it into optimization models for more resilient collaborative assembly scheduling.
