We are hiring a PhD student to work on the Modeling and control of systems actuated by dielectrophoresis.
📍 Host Lab: MOCOPHYS team, AS2M department, FEMTO-ST
📅 Start: September 1st, 2026 or by arrangement
🎯 Funding: ÉCOLE DOCTORALE SPIM
This thesis focuses on the development of modeling and robust control strategies for dielectrophoresis-actuated systems within the port-Hamiltonian framework, with applications to the manipulation and characterization of biological cells.
🧠 Candidate profile
• Excellent MSc/Engineer in Automatic Control, Applied Mathematics, Robotics
• Fluent in speaking and reading English
• Scientific programming skills
Appreciated:
• Good knowledge of Maxwell equations and electrokinetic phenomenon
• Interest in experiments
